Forgotten how to draw.

Alyson has been drawing for months, and she is really good at drawing birds. Yesterday, Yesterday, Daddy told me he realised Alyson seems to forget how to draw birds and the drawing is not as nice as before. To find out, I ask her to draw a bird on the whiteboard, and to my horror, it really look very different. I felt a sudden sadness and can't understand why. Is it because we have been stopping her from drawing birds and now she can't draw anymore. I try to let her see her old drawing, but her strokes are different and she seems distress when I keep asking her to refer to her old drawing. I do not wish her talent of creativity just vanish like that. This afternoon, I tried to encourage her to draw again. For the first time, I can see she feel incompetent in drawing and keep looking at me for assurance. To boost her confidence, I let her draw and paint freely. Finally, Alyson is able to draw a nice rooster on the easel board. From now on, I have to let her do her drawing freely, and encourage her even she does not draw well.

A Scene at the Supermarket

One day, Mum took John and Jenny to the supermarket to get some groceries. First, they went to the dairy section to get milk, yoghurt and cheese. "Let's go to the jam section." said John. Then, they went to the canned food section. "Shall we go to the candy section where there are many candies." said Jenny. "No thanks."said John. So Jenny went there herself. She saw a boy was trying to steal some candies. "Stop!"shouted Jenny. The boy immediately dropped the candies on the floor and started to run. Jenny chased after the boy. The boy didn't know his action was caught on a CCTV and a police officer was waiting for him at the entrance of the supermarket. "Stealing is wrong!"shouted the police officer."Sorry." said the boy in a remorseful tone. The police officer gave the boy one chance,"If you are caught doing that again, you will be put in jail for 2 days." "OK." said the boy. Jenny hoped that the boy will not steal again.

I loved Seashells

Christon's first attempt to re-write a story. The original title of the story book is 'I Love Rocks', he changed it to 'I love Seashells'. In the beginning he wasn't sure how to re-write it, I helped him a little and he managed to finish re-write the whole story.

I love Seashells
Re-write by Christon Chua

I love collecting seashells.
I like to keep them in a container.

I look left, I look right.
I find seashells wherever I am at the beach.

I can't carry all my seashells.
So I put some on my bookshelves.

I find some seashells by the ocean.
That is where I found these ten.

I like to show seashells to my friends.
This one is big and bend.

This one is yellow and has dots.
This one's colourful, blue and purple.

This one just feels smooth to touch.
Now I have so many seashells, I will need a bigger container.
